Five Spots to Explore During Dine LBC 2016

If there is one thing we've noticed that people go crazy for, it's restaurant week deals. Starting tomorrow and running through May 1st, you'll be able to dive right into some killer steals of meals in Long Beach when Dine LBC (formerly known as Eat LBC) kicks off! April 23-May 1 will see the tens of restaurants in the Long Beach area showcasing some of their top picks on their menus at discounted paired prices. Choose from $20 dinners up to $50 dinners and get a little taste of what Long Beach has to offer. We've picked out five joints that might be great for your bellies based on our previous visits - check them out below:

The Federal Bar
102 Pine Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802

If hearty food and old, beautiful architecture are up your alley, you'll likely want to sneak your way into The Federal Bar. It has taken over a historic bank building and is gorgeous on top of having some great grub. The style is a bit more gastropub-y here but it's got the craft beer to go along with the look and feel. We've always enjoyed dropping in for a quick bite. Here's their Dine LBC menu to consider.

Cafe Sevilla
140 Pine Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802
Past Post Link

A little bit of heartiness propels Cafe Sevilla forward but their main focus is just tapas-style. This Latin cuisine spot has some cozy seating indoors but also a large patio outside so you can enjoy your small plates in the Long Beach air. We love their fire-kissed meats here and definitely the wholesomeness of their paella. Here's their Dine LBC menu to consider.

Panxa Cocina
3937 E Broadway, Long Beach, CA 90803
Past Post Link

For those loving Latin cuisine but wanting a more upscale feel to their dining experience, Panxa Cocina is the place to be. The uniquely beautiful bar and the wide dining spaces with plenty of historic but modern decor makes for a welcoming environment that has playful cocktails and beautifully presented food that also tastes wonderful. Here's their Dine LBC menu to consider.

Kihon Sushi & Japanese Tapas
5662 E 2nd St, Long Beach, CA 90803
Past Post Link

City with the word "beach" in the name has GOT to have sushi involved somehow. We stopped into Kihon to specifically check out the Dine LBC menu for this year but walked out knowing that we'd be back for what more Chef Erwin there has to offer. Their menu this year is quite the steal and will fill your stomach up with fresh fish prepared expertly and with good company as well. Here's their Dine LBC menu to consider.

Brix at the Shore
5372 E 2nd St, Long Beach, CA 90803
Past Post Link

We were told that we'd end up tasting the best pastrami ever and when we didn't believe it, we were shown it. You have to stop by Brix at the Shore, regardless of Dine LBC or not, if you love pastrami (or even if you don't). They have a fun, welcoming environment that is more than happy to help guide you around the generously flowing wine choices there. The pastrami has been perfected so you shouldn't be disappointed, and boy do you have to try the clam chowder! Here's their Dine LBC menu to consider.

So all in all, there are so many restaurants available during Dine LBC and it is ultimately up to you to decide which ones you'll visit. We just hope that some of our highlights will soon become your highlights as well! Enjoy and eat freely!
